Guide to Accessing Electronic Database Resources Off-campus

1. Access via PPTP VPN and OpenVPN

This method can access library electronic resources and borrow digital copies of library collections. Please refer to the instruction of the network center：http://netfee.ustc.edu.cn/faq/index.html#howtosetupvpn

2. Access via WebVPN

Click http://wvpn.ustc.edu.cn, you can access the library’s electronic resources and borrow digital copies of the collections through the USTC CAS System. If you have any questions or suggestions, please email to james@ustc.edu.cn

3. Access via Shibboleth

See http://idp.ustc.edu.cn Through CARSI, CSTCloud, and eduGAIN, teachers and students from our university are certified by Shibboleth and can access the following databases off-campus.

Notice:

If you visit the database’s own homepage address, you need two steps：① Select “Insititution” on the page “Sigh In”, select “China Cernet Federation” or “China” or “CARSI” in the group of the local institutions, and then select the local institution “University of Science and Technology of China”;② Enter the USTC CAS System interface and use the database after logging in.
